4th International Islamic Banking and Finance Conference (ICIBF-2020)
To foster research in the field of Islamic Banking & Finance the Institute of Business Management (IoBM), Karachi has successfully organized three Annual International Conferences on Islamic Banking & Finance between 2017 and 2019. These conferences were organized in collaboration with various national and international organizations.
Now 4th International Islamic Banking and Finance Conference (ICIBF-2020) has been announced to be held on 04-05 November 2020. This conference is being supported by Association of Management Development Institutions in Pakistan to promote research culture in Pakistan and to provide Islamic banking and finance scholars a platform to present their research in front of professionals and gurus of the respective field.
Other international and local partners of ICIBF are; Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) Bahrain, Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI), Islamic Development Bank Group (IDBG) Jeddah, ISRA, International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF), Malaysia, Karachi School of Business & Leadership (KSBL) and Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan.
The ICIBF-2020 deliberations will be on the following themes.
- Impact of COVID-19 outbreak on global economy & MSMEs and way forward to Islamic Finance
- Impact of COVID-19 on Pakistani economy and MSMEs & Role of Islamic Financial Institutions
- Role of regulatory organizations i.e. SBP, SECP etc. in Post-COVID 2019
- Roadmap to providing financial assistance and other subsidies through Government & non-banking Financial Institutions for MSMEs
- Launching new Islamic financial products to providing financing opportunities to the unbanked population of the country through the Islamic Banking sector
- Use of social instruments of Islamic finance by Government & Islamic Financial Institutions to help the MSMEs in Post-COVID-19
ICIBF 2020 is still accepting abstracts and full papers. For details please find attached call for papers and list of speakers
Keeping in view the limitations caused by Covid-19, the conference will be conducted in hybrid mode and physical as well virtual presentations would be facilitated.
